2. Introduction
To improve the health of deprived children and support their education, CMI operates two major programs: the Nutrition Program and the Education Sponsorship Program.
Nutrition Program:
Conducted at the CMI feeding station, children are invited three times a week for a hot meal,
drink, Bible study, and counseling sessions. These children come from disadvantaged families
who struggle to meet basic needs such as food and education.
Education Sponsorship Program:
Aimed at supporting deprived children in Rwanda, Uganda, and DR Congo by providing
school requirements. CMI has identified over 100,000 vulnerable children who need help to
access education and break the cycle of poverty.
3. The Situation at CMI
CMI remains committed to providing nutrition and education support; however, it faces significant challenges due to financial limitations. Many children still lack proper feeding and educational access. Poor nutrition leads to disease, poor mental development, and stunted growth.
CMI currently sends 300 children to school, with 100 more still needing support. 150 children attend the feeding station weekly. However, supporting 8,000 children requires financial partners and resources.
